Times really change. In 1999, I came on this board and asked if it were possible/wise for a 35 year old career changer to try to be an airline pilot. I got about 150 very positive responses. I printed them out and still read them every once in a while. Funny, some of the most positive responses are the most negative naysayers now.
Do it because you love it, not for the money and you will be fine. Go to work, fly the plane, and go home. That's it
I say good attitude. Keep applying for your dream job while gaining experience and using your health insurance.
