Rumor is that Comair is closing its GSO base and Mesa is moving in.. All Comair GSO crews are being displaced to JFK. Any truth to that? Thanks.

Why would Comair close GSO only for Freedom to move in when Chautauqua already has a base there?

Oh the drama...

Why would Delta give ATL bases to SKYW and Freedom when ASA is already there? Welcome to the Delta Connection whipsaw!!!

I don't think Delta "gave" ATL to Skywest or Freedom; that's exactly my point.

Besides, Greensboro ain't exactly Atlanta...

Probably because CHQ doesn't do any DL flying out of GSO right now.

The key words are right now.

Yes there is no DL flying for CHQ out of GSO right now...because Comair does that flying right now. If Comair closes GSO, then CHQ would be in a position to take over that flying since they have a domicile there, as opposed to Freedom or anyone else opening there again.

Will that happen? I dunno and regardless if it does or not, it won't affect me any...

hope this all doesn't come true....first Mesa kicking out Chq in florida, now this....

Why did Comair open a base there when CHQ already had a base there?

Probably because CHQ doesn't do any DL flying out of GSO right now.

When I was based there (last feb thru June-ish), CHQ had 1 or 2 flights a day...I think at the time it was to MCO. That may have changed.
