I noticed on the Comair Academy website they are advertising for an Assistant Chief flight instructor at Broward Community College.

Are they REALLY hiring or just pretending to? Anybody have any info on the place? Obviously I'm interested in the job as a route to get a job with Comair.

I recall reading they have a new university branch opening somewhere as well. Info??

Auburn University is still advertising for CFIs. I applied but never got a word back. I e-mailed human resources to ask if they were in fact filling a position and they said yes, but I'm thinking perhaps its a pretend job advertised for fun on the Internet. Any info?!? I'm interested in Auburn as a route to ASA.

Thanks in advance.

I know CAA has shoved some of their personnel around to fill the new Bridgewater, MA location with experienced managers. I know they were looking for a Director of Training in Broward and it is quite possible they need an assistant chief. Usually entails a contract for some length of time...1 or 2 yrs would be my guess. This may also be the reason they're not filling the position from within. Give it a shot!
