will the majors automaticly throw out your application if you went to Utah Valley State College?

just wondering.

Why would you think that? I recommend that everyone go to college and get an education in anything other than flying, you never know when you may need it and it allows you to have normal conversations at party's

never underestimate the power of a college degree.

plus this will improve your spelling.:D

good luck.

Doesn't matter

Exept I heard about Delta who acepts degrees from only 271 different universities, if your degree would get you a commission in the military, the airlines will acept it. The degree only opens doors, it has nothing to do with flying an airplane. I have hired absolute idiots with degrees who were dangerous to walk on the ramp with, I have hired kids with HS diplomas who could fly the box the airplane came in.

No one here ever claimed that it makes you a better pilot, only that it gives you more opportunity, and a LOT more opportunity at that.

you really dont. i have friends who got jobs with united and usair and had no college whats so ever.
