I love it! Definitely the way to teach primaries.

This technique also works well when the student comes in "tired" on a Saturday morning, and is flying the pattern on the gages. Throw in some shorts and softs, and he's wide awake by the end of the lesson. ;)

When I was instructing in gliders, we had this situation quite often (well, not the touch and goes). Moisture would get into the pitot/static system, and we'd take off not knowing that none of those instruments would work.

Even if my certificate is still wet from the printer, I allready know that the students fly and land much better with the instruments covered up.
