Hi, I know the website is dated, and things change all of the time at Colgan. Is LGA a base?
Do you know of bases that aren't listed on their webpage, or ones that are closed?

Thanks!

I don't think LGA is a base for either plane. Alb is a saab base only. HYA is a beech base, and also a saab base during the summer. Manassas is not a base for beech crew members. The base situation changes often, so i could be wrong. Depending on the plane you get, you pretty much have a good chance of getting any of that planes respective bases as an FO.

Colgan opens and closes bases as quickly as the items at the Home Town Buffet get changed...

IN 3 or so years at Colgan without ever requesting a new base...

Hey Chopper,
Sounds like if you move that often, then getting a crash pad is no big deal. Is this the case, and is commuting a problem at Colgan? I am currently in BOS. How does getting based at MHT measure up on the seniority scale.
I am also an ex-rotorhead (civilian).
Thanks in advance.

I don't work for Colgan anymore....but when I did crashpads weren't very plentiful. Generally, people would get in a crashpad with another airline based at that airport..

Not sure how that's changed in the year and a half since I've been gone.

BOS would probably be one of the better places to commute to. Assuming you stay away from the continental side of the company. A lot of colgan planes go into BOS. Florida and anything out west would probably be more difficult then boston. BOS wouldn't be bad if you got the beech or the saab i think.
