All I see when I read these forums is a lot hating on these comapanies and the people that fly for them. Everyone has to eat and if I needed a job I wouldn't pass anyone of them up. I am also willing to bet non of you tough guys would walk up to anyone of these guys at these airlines you hate and say something to their face. I'll point out another thing, the airliners that you guys hate on aren't the ones who are furloughing and laying off. They are all expanding, so how do you hate on that? This is just a job!!! But to some of you you guys don't do anything else but live eat and sh!t aviation and complaining about it. If you don't like something leave. Some of you don't understand life is not fair and everyone looks out for themselves for the most part. If you were management you would be trying to make as much money as you could too and don't say you wouldn't because you're complaining about not making enough right now.
It's just really gay how some of you guys bash other people's jobs, and I bet most of you have never worked for them nor flown on them. Also what's up with hating on the guys that come in with 250hrs? That person did what they had to do to get where they are. They passed the same test you passed. Don't get mad because they have their sh!t more together than you do. Once again they have to eat. I don't even want to go into some of the stuff I saw on here about female pilots. That was just plain stupid and all I can say if your mom, sister and for some of you your daughter wanted to fly you would deny them just because they are female? If so you are sad and I hope to never fly with you. I have been lucky to avoid flying with most of you losers so far.
Before reading this forum I just didn't know there were so many losers in this industry and the ironic thing is that everyone wants to know why the industry is so mucked up.

So let me get this straight. You are one of the poor suckers that shelled out $118,000 total to a pilot mill in order to go from "Truck driver" to "Maverick with a CRJ type" without having to do awful things like flight instruct or fly checks. And now your teed off because you are getting no respect and you can't pay your "student" loans on $20K a year?
 
What is it, are the same jackholes gonna register with 15 screen names so they feel better about going to work for G0jets?
 
We should be able to have black stars to rate these threads. One for bad, two worse, three terrible, four for the worst.

Actually I am not mad about anything. I get all of the respect in the world. I have never been denied a jump and I did my share of flight instructing and working line service and all that stuff.
I just think it's gay how you guys bash eveyone else's airline in the safety of your home and I am willing to bet you wouldn't say anything to anyone's face walking to the terminal. I'll tell you what if it wasn't for this site I wouldn't know you huys feel the way you do. When you see "us" in the terminal come tell us how you feel instead of waiting to get home and letting lose after you finish beating off to your favorite porn site.

Well, I have actually confronted you and your ilk numerous times in JAX and ORD, and save for the lowering of those "fiercely proud of my GJ pilot job" eyes, all I have EVER gotten was a whiny "Don't say anything you'll regret"...For, as I am sure you know, your fellow "aviators" have continously run back to management with tears and complaints about how those mean Air Whiskey and TSA guys are treating them... So, with your chest thumping pride and your swaggering walk, take your tough guy "Talk to me in the terminal" rhetoric and cram it up your already fist-widened ass.... You are getting shafted, you dumb sh!t, and you don't even have the common sense to know it....You guys are definetly not scabs, of that I am sure...But in a den of whores, here at the regional level, you are the lone crack whore who sits by herself, looking in and wishing you had the nutz to have held out for better and not had to cozy up to your management "pimps" to get protection for the big bad decision you have made.
 
I don't know about the rest of you, but I usually don't let loose after 'punching the clown to my favorite porn site!' After rubbing one out, it usually puts me to sleep! I ain't got no hate at that point..... Usually pretty happy!!
As for Ur Dad... Maybe you try punchin the clown yourself!!

Why are you on flightinfo blowing steam? If you don't like what people have to say; don't read it. People are entitled to their opinions of Mesa, G0jets, and anyone else.

No most of us will not bash one particular person, but as a whole we don't care for the MESA, *************************s...etc...companies. These people have to put food on the table...but so do I and i choose to work for a better company...we all get to choose our own future!

I have nothing personal against any individual, but you can't tell me it was either work for one of these companies or starve. Instructing gets tiresome, when you work 7 days a week and have no life, that is not fun, but it is temporary, and you can definitely make ends meet. I instructed for a year and a half, which is a short time compared to many people back in the day. I simply chose to be more selective when looking for that next job. The constant "go where there is a quick upgrade" debate and people's views regarding that is just about different perspectives. Some people would rather have lesser work rules or pay to get that coveted turbine PIC. I personally will choose to work for a company that has upgrade somewhere in the realistic future, but more importantly, has quality work rules, good morale, and a semblance of stability (if that is even possible). The issue is companies like Mesa and G0j#ts. Mesa, which has unfathomable work rules and pay rates (not simply the hourly pay, but how the pay is calculated), and the other one, which directly stabs another pilot group's back. I realize that all regional pilots whether you are at Horizon, Comair, Expressjet, or Great Lakes, "lower the bar". We all are underpaid, especially initially. However, I knew all this stuff going into this volatile industry, and I can't think of another job I would rather do, and I am still a fool "living the dream". But I won't go to a company I believe to cause other pilot's to suffer, yet I won't be a cfi until I die either. Talk to me a few furloughs later and maybe I will have a different perspective.
 
What's the deal with Colgan Air? I have not read anything bad about them, why are they in the heading of this post? I have a budy of mine that actually works for them. He said he made $27000 the first year including per diem. That's not really bad compared to other 1st year pay. He upgraded after a year and a half and he is currently a captain on the Saab. He said he'll walk my resume in, but first can you fill me in on why they are not a good company to work for?
