Just to give you all a heads up, but the ballots SHOULD be sent out in a few weeks to vote yes or no for ALPA. The time is close for us to decide our future.

Any questions concerning ALPA should be addressed to an organizing committee member or www.alpa.org/colgan

The other thing of interest is that ALL official correspondence concerning the drive has been answered by Pinnacle lawyers. Once again shows who is going to be running the show.

Just a point of order for you guys pondering your decisions: If you're part of the pilot group as defined by the NMB, you cannot abstain from this election.

A vote is a "yes" for union representation.
Not voting is a "no" vote.

Part of what killed us at CommutAir was the large contingent of pilots who "didn't want to get involved." Well, if you're an eligible voter, that's not an option. If you don't vote, it's a "no." Keep that in mind.

Since ALPA has filed with the NMB on behalf of the Colgan Pilots, the responses the NMB and ALPA has received have ONLY been from Pinnacle lawyers.

Don't know if this has anything to do with it but when our Customer Service and Ramp agents went through a unionizing drive a few years ago Pinnacle Management got nailed pretty hard by the NMB for interfering with the organizing effort. The initial voted failed to ratify but the NMB called a revote due to Pinnacles interference. The second ratification vote was successful.

Now that they know whats not legal you can bet they will do everything that is just short of that this time around. Good luck to you guys. Vote early, vote often!

Here is what is important with the Pinnacle Lawyers responding. There are guys who believe that the Colgan family is still running the show. If they truly were, why didn't THEIR lawyers respond to the Colgan Pilots filing with the NMB?

Pilots need an advocate in this industry where there is really no lateral move. Nothing irritates me more than hearing a pilot say "if you don't like it vote with your feet and quit". That is about as ascenine a comment as possible. It is smart to have someone to be on your side when the FAA, the public, and management at times are all against you.

Exactly. The FAA, the public, and management all HATE pilots. We need a big voice.
