Anybody know anything about a Colgan Open House in IAH on 1/29???

I talked with somebody that went today and he said it was worthless. They couldn't even tell him what the starting pay is. All they said was they were going to match Skywest pay scale. They have 401K but no company match. He turned them down and walked out the door. I wouldn't waste your time.

Colgan IAH Open House was not for Pilots

They were having an open house for Cleaners, Ground Support, Ops Support, Admin., Flight Attendants but not Pilots, at least not yet. Pilot hiring will go thru Manassas.

Heard Big Rumor that Colgan may be getting several Windy City Planes.

The open house was for pilots also, I have the add that they ran in the paper.

Simple, pilots for the Houston ops will get paid in brisket.

Why didn't they send an internal memo to Beech pilots, this is our chance to move up in the company ...

Thats a good question. They said it's going to be similar to Skywests ops. No growth for Colgan. They are just going to move ten saabs from the north east to Texas. NO 50 seat turbo props, MAYBE in the future. There was a few pilots, 2 fa's and some mechanics right out of A&P school. They are scrambling to get that place staffed.

Because it would cost the company more in training costs to double train than is would to just hire directly into the SAAB. Typical company/mgmt solution to problem.....do what's cheaper, not what is right

Who's talking about moving up to the Slaab, I was talking bout the janitorial openings ....

Why would they let you upgrade to the Saab when they need someone to fly those deathtraps.

Thats not my original post. I don't care, I wouldn't work for Colgan.

Out of a job in 60 days

Do they still have any street Captain positions for Houston?
Less than 60 days till we cease operations here in MDW.

Good Question?
