Go ask the Pinnacle Pilots about their new contract.

At least they have a contract that can't just be changed willy nilly while they have the opportunity to bargain for a better one. Much much more than what Colgan pilots have now.

Status quo is better than having rules changed at someone's whim.

Bingo!

Lets put it in a differnt perspective. If Saab was to pick up the phone and call Buddy, and just change the LEASE on a saab, Add oh... lets say... $1000 bucks this month.... He would have a FIT. Fact is, he has a CONTRACT in effect, that prevents this, because IT MAKES GOOD BUSINESS SENSE!! Every vendor, wether it's a parts supplier, ramp space, hangar, CODESHARE PARTNERS, even that can of coke from the galley is tied to a cantract. He has the ability to pay what he wants, when he wants.

Having ALPA, makes GOOD career sense. In effect it is a contract, with YOUR employeer, the same as for parts, or aircraft leases, that both sides can always turn to, to REMOVE all ambiquity that management seems to enjoy....and use on a REGULAR BASIS.

Again, just Distill it all down..... a contract with US as a pilot group is the same as an aircraft lease.

So... put it all in a nifty little book... whats the harm in that?

Best

and from what I understand, their group is very happy with the contract they are locked into.
