My friends brother just got a call from Colgan.
They told him they would GUARANTEE him IAH and GUARANTEE him the Q400......you guys even have those things yet? Also they guarantee upgrade in the Q400 within 1.5 years with his current flight time.

I told him that if they're serious about this, then they would have no problem drawing up a contract stating that if any of the guarantees did not happen, they would compinsate him with captain Q400 pay within that time frame. Pay for his moving expenses when he gets based in White Plains New York, along with another check for being lied too.

About the only thing that any Pinnacle Holdings subsidiary can guarantee is that everything they tell you is nothing but lies.

Now you want a contract. This time last year you were one of the most vocal against CJ pilots having a contract.

colgan has never shot straight with anyone, why would they start now. they need pilots, and they'd tell ya anything to get you in there. the best thing to do with a colgan offer letter would be to toss it, and never second guess your decision.

As long as he can get it in writing, I'd say go for it. Unfortunately, he has only two chances to get it in writing....slim and none.

We do have the Q400 but they will not be in IAH for another year atleast. Want to work for an crappy regional airline and have your personal days/ days off taken away for operational needs, non commutible schedule's no overnights, come on over they are looking for more suckers to bend over for them

latest is that interviewees are being told that Colgan has flow through to CAL.
Colgan has no such thing. We can't even get ColdOne to get our seniority with CAL. Every year our board date or seniority resets itself for the new year. Brand new chit taco FO'S have more seniority than our most senior captain what does that tell you.

your highness,

I don't believe you are correct about IAH being a year away. I believe that if they exercise the options for the next 15 Q's there will be Q's somewhere, IAH making the most logical sense, this summer or fall. I have heard that the announcement is going to be made next month

Unless you have heard something i have'nt, the option for the next 15 is done the order has been confirmed and most of the next group of planes are going to CVE,the rest will go EWR, IAH is a year away for a base.
