Looks like Colgan was picked by the DOT the take over PKB-PIT CKB/MGW-PIT

2 More SAABS in 60 days

Good luck from a past Colgan Guy

I dont think the DOT has chosen Colgan yet. The cities want Colgan but the DOT hasnt chosen us yet. We still have Mesa under bidding up with 19 seat flying.

Colgan given contract. I think if the Colgans keep running Colgan Air with PNL Corp money behind them you guys are going to have a great ride.

Now those are some short flights

6min 31sec on the FMS was the Regions company record, MGW-CKB (29mi I think...)

At least Colgan got it because of RegionsAir Management having an endless supply of ineptitude, not by underbidding/whoring themselves out.

They are short flights....and go mostly empty (when they go at all). Boooring.

Yeah, a sub-7 minute flight is "boooring" as you say. Go back to playing in traffic.

those are A or B models?

A models

Colgan is a lock. The cities do not want to fly on that Beech trash. And Colgan can get CKB to Dulles...to be negotiated later

Sure a 7 minute flight can be interesting....but doing the same 7 minute flight day-in and day out (to me) wouldn't be that interesting. I just know what some Regions guys who sat on our jumpseat said. I'll go back to traffic...have a great time in West Virginia.

With all due respect to the cities, they're asking for a government handout. They get what they get, and what they get is whatever is the most cost-effective for the taxpayers who are footing the bill.

Rumor has it that CJC is lowering their mins to 300 TT 50 Multi.

"You are Hired!"
"wow, do you even want to check my pulse?"
"That won't be necessary."

You're preaching to the choir, brother. But polotics plays a predominant role in this equation.

Oh, definitely. If it weren't for politics and pork-barrel spending, EAS would have died a loooooong time ago!

We know that CKB wants Dulles badly. I predict that within the first 3-4 months of Colgan operating these routes to PIT, the CKB airport authority will be banging on the DOT's door saying they need more money to pay Colgan for Clarksburg direct Dulles.

OK, easy on the Beech trash stuff...Just kidding...I've heard that they are going to operate the SAAB to PIT for Airways.

That rumor is true. The school I attend is heavily connected with Colgan and we have had people leave for Colgan the minute they finish their instructor ratings with a little less than 300 hrs, but considerably more than 50multi

Not necessary as long as the applicant has a large anus and their own bottle of KY
