Colgan Flight Benefits

Does anyone know why Colgan doesn't offer Domestic Partner/Registered Guest flight benefits like the other non-wholly owned express carriers?

I didn't know all the other carriers did that. From what i understand...colgan paid for all their employees flight benifits at the beggining of the year. Something that i think many have forgotten about. So non rev is free for everyone that is an employee. Adding a partner would cost twice as much i would assume??? It would have cost commuters $20 a segment to commute otherwise. I wish we had the domestic partner deal too.....one more thing to offer potential ladies in your life. If the other wholly owneds offer this....take a good look at things.....they also offer jets, daily per diem, work rules, bases your friends will know when you name them. Colgan is a totally different airline.
Here is an email i was sent when i first got hired:

Dear Sir or Madam:
Welcome to the colgan air family, we regret to inform you that you won't find us on the property.

My guess would be they don't approve of it. Where are they (the Colgans) from? What side of the fence do they lean towards?

DP/Guest Benefits

DP/Guest benefits are free. You pay taxes on the imputed cost of the flight. Better deal than buddy passes and it doesn't use those up.

one of the agents i work with wanted to add her best friend on, and was told "we don't do that". so she went to someone at mainline and submitted the paperwork. well, that obviously didn't go over well with the colgans. so she was then told that "we don't do that because it is too much paperwork". go figure

Wouldn't it be nice of them to do something to make the employees happy and want to stick around rather than looking for a job that offers what we want. If Colgan won't offer the right benefits, then people are going to go elsewhere to get them. I think we are still seeing the exodus now. It's not all just for jet jobs, it's for better working conditions.
