has anyone ever heard of people that left early and had to pay on that 12 month/ $12,000 contract?

I left early and didn't pay. Of course they FURLOUGHED me so they waived it.

It all depends on the situation. What they will generally do is try and get you to commit to a payment plan. If that fails, they give your info to a friend of the family that runs a collection company. They may send you letters but that's about it. I know a Saab guy that left 30 days after his upgrade and they never came after him. That was about a year ago..

Oh, no, i am a lifer. My contract is up anyway. I was just wondering about people in the past. I know many left early.

I would like to get more information on this from ya

You wouldn't be a colganite is distress would you? Thinking about leaving before you're contract is up??

If you are... RUN AWAY.. Let them Mcdonalds eating (I can say that now since I've lost over 40lbs since I left Colgan), never left a buffet with food still on the table family try and go after you.

It's not like the money they want from you will go to anything good.. Like fix the trim problems on the 1900s so they won't freeze at altitude in the winter..

They still owe me for a move from HYA to PWM and about $250.00 in perdiem. I know I'll never see a dime. They do want you to pay for your uniform but I never saw a training contract while I was there.

Nope, I sent you a pm concerning this, never heard back. I sent one to BRA also and was looking for info on the company.

why? it's fun. The place is pretty good. We are still hiring, and the PFT is on the decline as of late. Fleet count is 14 beeches and 13 saabs. 3 C models beeches left....and that number seems to be a sticking point for the rest of the year. the Saab number is supposed to still grow. Rochester and Manchester open as bases this month for the saab. Someone posted an experience on aviation interviews that we will hire 100 this year and may be getting jets. And the stickers in the maintance cans about how many mechanicals we hide from the FAA by 9am all seem to be mostly peeled off. Or at least very hard to read.

My guess is that Colgan will need to hire more than that to keep their commitments. They will also have to hire street captains again because senior FO's are bailing every week and there will be very few experienced FO's to cover the need.

i didn't say it, i just got it off aviation interviews dot com. Some dude thinks its true. Colgan may be getting jets. Anywho. Colgan opened the door for a lot of beech FO's to go over to the jets don't forget. It's like a 135 transition type thing, only you log 121 time instead of 135 time.

Bra,
Point taken.....Not trying to offend. Just taking a break fom trying to figure out what computer is doing what on this airplane! Fly safe.

You forgot the "HEY" after every second "Run Runaway".:D :D

The hangar in albany is pretty big....they can fix them there. They just have to send the mechanics to school to learn how to fix them. You have to start somewhere.
