What's the deal with Colgan? I saw that they are hiring street captains? Are they hiring SAAB street captains? I thought they only hired into the beech 1900 for PICs. Oh yeah, I've been meaning to ask you guys about Tyler base. Is that a pilot base too?

Yes, they are hiring SAAB street captains, TB put a memo out about it 2 weeks ago. I know a Eagle Saab FO who has already been called by CC Jr. Tyler is a pilot base.

What are the chances of getting IAH or TYR SAAB Captain base as a new hire? I got an e-amil from CC for an interview, but I dont wanna bother if I'm gonna get stuck in the North East.

It's a game of chance, a lot of senior Saab guys are going to the Q so there should be a number of spots opening up in IAH and TYR but a lot of FO's upgrading are from IAH/TYR and want to go back there. If you don't get it right away you should be able to get it soon after. TYR sooner then IAH.

When I got hired at colgan years back, they didn't even have any saab captain positions for the current and qualified saab FO's that wanted them.

Stop your crying dude. The way the industry is right now people can be picky. Get with the program and stop with this "it use to be like this..."
