Does anyone have info on the flight dept. at Coke? Made a contact, but don't know anything about their flight dept. I imagine is top notch, but then again is it? Just a curious mind

I've not heard good things about it. Stuff like gone all the time, treated badly, etc. Decent pay and equipment, but that's about it.

All this is hearsay though, I don't know for sure.

They are in the process of rebuilding after the former C.P.'s failed social experiment.

cheers

I've been in aviation for 10 years and I have no clue as to what you're talking
about.

A few years back Coke settled a big race discrimination lawsuit. They did have a history of not promoting qualified minorities, so they paid around $200 million and went in the opposite direction with respect to minorities.

At the flight department this ment hiring some very low time minorities. The plan was to develope them over time into useable pilots. Most were not up to the challenge of flying the Gulfstream in international operations. There were problems.

which flight Coke flight dept are you asking about?, Coca-Cola Enterprises or Coca-Cola USA, they are both located on FTY but they are two very seperate companies. USA has Gulfstreams and Enterprises has Hawkers.

The fact that he said gulfstreams in the post and you referenced only one as flying gulfstreams. . . I think you can answer your own question.

I interviewed there last year. Enjoyed the interview and the two pilots I met with. Great equipment and alot of international flying. I just decided to ride things out with my current airline and if things do not work out, I plan on getting out of aviation. I have heard rumors of Coke going to fractional ownership which I highly doubt. Good luck.

The rumor of Coke going fractional has been around for years. It just started to resurface recently becase the new CEO is on a cost cutting mission. They recently sold a couple of their Gulfstreams for a couple of G200's.

The rumor will always be around, just take a look at who Coke's largest institutional investor is. Warren Buffet (Berkshire) owns 200 million shares. What else does Warren own?

as you can see the original poster"flyhigh2610" never said anything about Gulfstreams.

a follow up poster (sleepy) referenced Gulfstreams, since it could have just been an asumption on sleepy's part, that was the reason in asking for clarification..... and your welcome for the laugh
