Rumor around town- is that X-jet is gathering up some coin to start another codeshare partner - names being kicked around are Delta and United - - management wants to settle the contract with the pilots - so they can figure expense cost and throw their hat in the ring for the additional codeshare- Exclusive codeshare to CAL is only locked in until 2006- By then - Coex will have about 370 50 seaters mostly XR's (extended range models 2000 mile range with a 45 minute reserve)--- So X-jet management has an agreement that they can go serve other majors - But must fund their own aircraft leasing - and assorted other cost- -- X-jet is still majority owned by CAL- until the stock price and market improve - then Cal will will sell off its controlling interest and us coex as a cash cow- X-jet is an "ALL JET FLEET" as of 13 December 2002- any- further info from you express guys - and how this may affect hiring and furlough recalls? - Thax - MAX

Whats your source?

The numbers I have are 274 total aircraft by 2006, with only 104 being the XR, so Im not sure where you got this info. I dont think anything can even be worked out with another carrier until our contract is settled. IE how much would XJT charge if they dont know the cost? http://www.expressjet.com/ here is the web page check it out for yourself.

I have not heard this one yet either. But to add to what Mckpickle said, the current schedule for recalls is 40 in May and June and then 30 a month through the rest of 03'. This should bring all furloughees back. This is only projected and may or may not happen at this rate. Beyond that who knows.

and if they are excercised I bet you a dollar that someone who has never been in my kitchen will be flying them. (ie not a XJT crew)
