COEX New Hire Handbook

After the interview at coex, I was given the handbook with the limitations and memory items quiz at the end of one of the chapters. The only useful thing I can find in this book are the flows, and the answers to this quiz are NOWHERE in this book. I know when I get to class the FOM will have all this info, but why send people home with a quiz that you have no way to answer? Anybody else know where to find some of the answers in this book, or is this quiz just a game? Thanks for any help.

I would not worry about it...Just get started with the flows in the cpt workbook and limitations. If it makes you feel better they give roughly the same huge book to the upgrades, but with the answers in the very back for all the quizzes, but most of the answerss are either flat out wrong or represent an outdated manual and or system update. So just chill.

check it again it should have the answers in it somewhere. congrats on the job where were you working before?

The answers are in the back as well as the mem. items. It takes some fishing but you will find them. The book is lacking alot, but a new one is on the way we are told.

Be careful memorizing the answers! They aren't always correct

I'd probably wait and use the quizzes to study during systems. If you aren't in class yet, limitations and memory items, as well as flows, are probably best to learn. Beware though... I'm not sure if they updated it, but even some of the limitations on the sheet are incorrect. Plus, some of the flows aren't quite how the pictured them.

They changed the memory items on us 3 times while in training. I would say study them and memorize them but dont be surprized if you get more or less memory items once there.

Thanks for the help, the memory items ARE NOT in the manual I got (nor any limitations). Coming from Great Lakes to coex. I have heared they changed the handbook now with no answers for new hires. Anybody else starting on the 20th have this problem with the book?

Hey,

I am also lacking the material in order to start filling out those practice quizzes in the rear of the New Hire handout. At least the flows can be practiced and memorized. Starting Monday as well. Hopefully, my car can make the trek safely from Chicago.

As I recall...ours weren't in there either...the guy who taught our systems class got them for us. But, like somebody earlier said DON'T MEMORIZE THEM...some of them are off a bit. Congrats on the job.
