XJTer's -

What is XJT's/COEX's policy about jumpseating to Mexico? Can it be reasonably done?

Thanks

Peace

No cockpit jumpseating out of Mexico, but if you are off-line then no biggy anyway. Just sign in at the gate if you are 121. However, some places in Mexico require you to pay a "departure tax" just like the rest of the passengers.

Thanks for the info. I fly for Skyway/Midwest Connect and know we have reciprocal agreement with COEX. How much is "departure tax"?

It's been so friggin' cold here, I was thinking of going south for a few days to warm up! :D

Some places require one and others do not. I think it is primarily at the vacation destinations. So, if you want to go to Saltillo don't worry about it :). The most expensive I have ever seen is Cancun and it was around 65 bucks U.S.

Make sure to check the loads coming back. Some places go suprisingly full while others are about empty. My trip to Cabo last week was only about 3/4ths full.

Just came back from Acapulco on CoEx. Thanks for the ride guys. No problems, departure tax for me was about 44 dollars US. Anytime you need a ride on Pinnacle, come on over.
