Thoughts on the matter ? At face value it appears to be a 'cheap' way for the larger carriers to gain the benefits of a merger without the pain? End result will be less competition and higher fares? (American took the hight road and merged with TWA)

I guess the consolidation will continue just as predicted by the experts... whoever the experts are??

Interesting that the government placed another 30 days on the decision... Comments and or Thoughts.. Just curious what the pilot group thinks..

I'm not sure it will lead to less competition or higher fares. The government antitrust watchdogs will be monitoring this codeshare very closely for such.
Instead it will result in more passengers and more revenue with less expenditure for the member airlines. It will also result in less growth opportunities for employees of these companies.
