Just curious what type of tablets are out there and in use?
For just manuals or plates also.

We have the ability to upload company manuals and bulletins on our own devises. Still we are required to carry some, the plane has the rest, at Delta.

Just curious.
Thanks!

The Ipad is the only tablet approved for SWA from the FAA. I know Alaska uses them too. I would think other tablets would work fine, its just a matter of having them approved by the FAA.

Don't jinx it
Hasn't been approved beyond the beta testers yet

Too bad you have to buy the overpriced ipad when there are so many other tablets out there that do the same thing for half the price.

Why did scoreboardII write, "go buy one." Do you front the money or did they give you a gift card? Are you responsible for downloading all apps?

Muppet.

They don't do the same thing at half the price. They do some of the same things, at a third of the price, with holes you can drive a truck through and a useful life of six months. No, nobody cares if you could figure it out and write it for them, and it would be jail broken. The proven software is in place for the iPad .... now.

This is actually a smart, well considered decision.
