CO to recall 171 furloughs

A friend of mine at COEX said that their newest bid for CAL and COEX included 171 returning spots at CAL. Supposedly they will be trained at about 20 per month starting in JAN---so most will be back by OCT-NOV of next year. That is great news for the CAL furloughs and the COEX guys who will upgrade or re-upgrade back to CAPT on the E145. Good for them.

Just heard from a good friend who is on furlough at CAL. Said the Chief Pilot told him he would be back around March 05 and the company would be hiring off the street by summer 05. Still a year and change away, but sounded encouraging for anyone looking at CAL as a career.
