Description
The Co-Pilot is second-in-command and functionally responsible to the pilot-in-command on all flights to which assigned. The Co-Pilot is considered to be training for pilot-in-command responsibilities but is fully competent to assume these responsibilities if necessary.
1.Prior to assigned company flights, assists captain in flight planning; determination of fuel requirements; and weight, balance, and weather analysis.
2.Performs pre-flight and post-flight checks and in-flight operating responsibilities as assigned by the captain.
3.Ensures that necessary fuel for each assigned flight is available both on and off home base.
4.Ensures that aircraft is clean, supplies are stocked, and catering, if necessary, has been ordered.
5.Ensures proper storage and protection of aircraft both on and off home base.
6.Attends semi-annual training sessions required by FAA regulations and company policy. Maintains necessary certifications and licenses for flight operations, such as FAA Medical Certificate and FCC Radio Telephone license.
7.Performs other duties assigned by the Chief Pilot, such as analyses of potential aircraft purchases or maintenance and administration of the Aviation department offices.
Requirements :
Minimum qualifications include at least 1,500 hours total flight time with initial training and acceptable FAA ratings on aircraft currently operated by HSBC. Experience as a Co-Pilot in business aviation is desirable
