Doesn't this apply to the Comair folks as well? I flew with a furloughed Delta guy that had paid for a job at Comair and thought it was a rip off. Are there a lot of these guys out there?
 
I agree no pilot should be allowed to carry revenue passengers in part 121 operations with only 250 hours. In the same note I have sat in the sim with a military F16 guy and watched him crash a V1 cut due to wrong rudder input more than once. A good pilot is a good pilot and bad pilot is a bad pilot no matter where he/she has learned.
 
wow, some of the comments below the article are brutal!
