It is good to see Comair is recalling 54 pilots, but does anyone know is Comair planning to recall rest of the pilots group back anytime soon?

I hope we get eveyone back, who wants to come back, as soon as possible. I guess it will depend on attrition, block hours, and what happens with the rest of the fleet.

They were making calls a couple days ago to get an idea of how many are planning on accepting the recall. It's possible, and just a guess, that if less people than anticipated are coming back, they may send out more recalls soon. Hopefully we can get everyone back that would like to be back soon.

That must be all there are to recall (or it better be)because the Comair pilot hotline is hiring!!!!! 859-767-2667 choose 1.

Found the ad on www.avianation.com and called the number to see if it was a mistake...apparently not..they're hiring!

all the yes voters must feel real good right now! What a recovery! In only 3 weeks no less!.....sarcasm intended.

It is possible that both the add and the phone hotline have not been updated since last spring/summer when we were hiring. I could certainly be wrong about that though. As you said I would hope they recall the other 70 to 100 furloughs back first.

Hello!!! Its Comairs employee hotline...hotline! How can this be a mistake? If it is then it is of epic proportions and the MEC should be all over this! I say should be but then again JC has bigger fish to fry and can't be bothered with something this trival.(again sarcasm intended):angryfire

uote=bvt1151]I guess there really are irrational conspiracy theorists at Comair.[/quote]

Yes of course you're right! All this is just a coincedence.
Let's see the LOA is voted in -two weeks later 54 pilots recalled and the Comair Employee Hotline is hiring!
What's your rational take on all this?
It's a miracle! Right!

The Comair web site says they have been hiring all during the furloghs.. I'm sure the phone system is the same deal. They are not hiring.. But I bet they want to create the illusion that they are.. Don't want the kiddies to stop siging up for the Delta Connection Accadamy.

So what are you saying it would be better to vote no and let those guys sit on the street? Real selfish jack, real selfish. I am just glad there were enough rational people that voted

What? Of course it' was better to vote this POS in! NOT! What makes you think it wasn't going to happen anyway? If anything it sure looks to me like things changed in a hurry! Oh yeah last and best final absolute offer! we're losing planes..the sky is falling... PLEASE!

You can take that tripe somewhere else rookie I ain't buying!! Whats been gained by all this? Your Job you say...right.. furloughs back..ugh huh...right and new hires no less imagine that!

Who would want to stay in this business if offered a chance to return after being furloughed? Comair's prospects are mixed at best - you never know what will happen as Mesa, TSA and CHQ angle for more of DAL's flying... It will be a roller coaster for sure.

Personally, if I were furloughed from Comair and I had the hours, I'd go to Netjets and go fly the X and get out of the extremely volatile regional airline business...

Its funny that you would call anyone else selfish. You were the one who was shooting your mouth off about picking up open time while guys were on the street. So who's selfish?

Anyone who picked up open time since the furloughs should be ashamed of themselves. We know who you are and it will not be forgotten. From what I understand it was only a few people, I only know of one (J.L). The union can't officaialy do anything about it, but there are other ways to take care of that problem.

I would rather take a hardship loan from 401k than do anything that prevents our furloughs from coming back even one day later than they have to. I've got the bank balance and 401k papers to prove what I just said.

I think for the most part except for the one a##hole listed above, nobody picked up any and who knows maybe it worked.

My question is why did MR furlough just to call them back so soon? How long have these people been gone? Are they still within the 90 day currency? It doesn't make much sense to me to furlough just to call them back a few months later.

Official reason for the recall is for planned attrition and increased flying starting in March. Furloughs started January 1st, with some pilots extended until the beginning of February.

Hey I was pickin up open time to pick up my bank account brotha. Not cause i needed the money but because I want a "rainy day fund" The recalls can thank me, my yes vote just saved a bunch of jobs. If there is more open time this month and next month dangn right ill pick it up! I also want to time out so i can get the holidays off. HOLLA!

I hope you are joking about the open time. Sarcasm goes over my head sometimes....

Otherwise, well lets just say you'd be a whore. Douchebag of the highest level. With all due respect of course.....

Yeah how 'bout that! Coincedence I'm sure.. had nothing to do with getting people to vote yes on a concessionary LOA.. naw nothing.. just a coincedence....no conspiracy here... move along now.. new planes coming...new people..new routes.. maybe a new base!!!!

Suckers!

Heads up "Grave" sarcasm intended!

Actually this was a direct result of the vote. I agree with you there. But a conspiracy? Ha! Soaper and Fred both put out a memo saying the vote was the direct reason. Its sickening how little true information people will find for themselves, and how many rumors they'll be quick to believe. Take some time to realize not everything is a conspiracy! By definition, if they tell you, it can't be a conspiracy.

But then you wouldn't have anything to complain about...

The high attrition part is true. We have been averaging over one pilot per day quitting. I believe the February bid packet had a total of 43 pilots listed as "quit".

It must be a great life to walk around and think everyone is out to screw you.

Thanks douchebag. You pick up open time, which DIRECTLY stops me from comming back, then you want me to thank you for voting me a pay cut. What the hell is the matter with you?

No naive people like yourself takes up the slack when a good conspiracy isn't available.

Yes in my opinion better to be vigilant than regretful.

Now you're confusing "informed" with "naive". Take some time to inform yourself with actual information, and drop the blanket argument that anyone who doesn't automatically disagree with management is naive. If you always think they're lieing, it makes you awfully predictible and, well, naive. Its just as easy to minipulate someone who automatically believes everything he hears is false as it is for someone who automatically believes everything is true.

Actual information? That would lead me back to wonder aloud why things only move fast when the result is predictable.

If you always think they're lieing, it makes you awfully predictible and, well, naive.

I only beleive they are lying when their lips are moving

Ah so grasshopper! Like the sands through an hour glass so are the days of our lives!
Thanks for setting me straight!
