Post some of the official numbers that say you are the cheapest. You keep saying it, yet I havent come across any info on who the cheapest airline is.

The PCL MEC has the numbers for all of the airlines, but I don't have it right in front of me. We went over it at the last meeting though, so here's the numbers as I remember them:

PCL: $1750/hr
Mesa: $1900/hr
ASA: $2100/hr
Comair: $2400/hr

Those numbers may be off a little bit as they come from memory, but they're pretty close. I can't remember the other airlines.

Hey, I was just trying to be nice. I heard they issue you guys brass polish and a vial of spit to shine your shoes every month. Is that true or just a rumor?

Plus Northwest's proposal limited the flying to carriers not currently operating in violation of their scope clause (70+ seats). So, who is there besides Mesaba and Pinnacle?

So anyoen care to speculate why Comair has posted openings for Instructors and Line-check airmen? Just saw these on EPIC and in OPs

I'll speculate:

I 'spect they're trying to give us that warm fuzzy feeling for taking it in the barn door for a line of crap and hokus-pokus they sold 50.57% of the pilot group. They are not done with us yet. How many promises has our management kept? How much did they promise us with this (non) LOA? Putting out "ads" for instructors is a ruse.

Lesson: Don't believe in fairy tales.

The mere fact that we have pilots happy about bidding (or underbidding) for another carrier's flying just proves to me that this pilot group has adopted a "Mesa" attitude... not that we have the right to bag on Mesa anymore, we are the new bottom feeders.

This industry sucks.

Suprised PFT you are not paying to do this flying.

Been there, done that. It got old pretty quick. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Those numbers may be off a little bit as they come from memory, but mine is acurate. I think it's a heck of a deal for the both of us. Heck, I'd pay more to fly an RJ, I was going broke just to fly a Beech a few years ago!!!

:puke:

They show the following costs for 50's: (remember they then have to add their own profit on top of that)

Operating Statistics

Pinnacle: $1.220
Comair: $1,656 (pre paycut)
ASA: $1,452
Skywest: $1,622

I don't believe this website provides any total cost data. Just operational data. All carriers have varying overhead expenses.
