They routinely post super attractive ads that appeal to the tens of thousands of us low-time guys looking for that golden opportunity to get into the turbine world.

Naturally there would be a thousand guys who would want to jump on this one! Ahh, but there's always a catch with these really attractive ads. They never ever have an email address, a phone number or a fax number and the only way to apply is too
PAY. Once you pay and apply you have no way of knowing of the ad was a scam or not since it's much more common to hear nothing,

Here is a new one on 350 titled "Turbine Pilot:

I am suspicious.

Do a forum search, certain people have had very unpleasant encounters with them. They tripple-charged his credit card or something like that and they blatantly refused to fix it.

Their membership fee is rediculous, dialup ISPs charge less!

Scub,

You don't understand their site. All ads can be viewed free after they have been posted for five days. Most have a fax or email address of the employer and you apply directly to them.

But they have a service called "EZ Apply" that you must pay to use and they claim some employers only want to find applicants via thier EZ Apply service. Nonsense! Why would an employer limit themselves to the small number of pilots who choose to pay to use this one particular website.

A few times per week you'll see these super attractive ads that you know can't be right. Ads like "Seeking Falcon 50 f/o, only 1000TT needed, $40,000 to start." These ads naturally will attract thousands of lowtime guys but they are ALWAYS the ones you have to pay to apply to using their EZ Apply feature.

I was asserting that these ads are PHONY to get pilots to pay just so they can apply.

Here is the latest one, naturally labeled "Confidential."

CONFIDENTIAL (Turbine Pilot)
Midwest, US
Tel: none
Fax: none
Email: Click Here to Apply
Web Site: none
Turbine Pilot position needs to be filled immediatly. Requirments : 1500 TT 200 MEL. Turbine time and previous Part 135 time a plus. Position will be filled by the best person, not the person with the highest flight time and experience. This job requires a short cover letter.

** Then they ad this wgich is a lie: "* The application process for this job uses our "Resume Jet" feature, as the employer has requested additional information such as a cover letter, salary requirements, last PC check etc. To apply, please click on the orange "Click Here to Apply" link above. Doing so, will allow you to add the additional requested information. "

Doing so will NOT "allow you to add the additional requested information. " LIE! Doing so takes to a screen where you have to pay $12.95.

not worth the cash

I just got rid of my subscription to Climbto350.com. It just seemed like most of the jobs listed were out of the country. I guess if you're a corporate guy who's got a type and a couple of thousand hours it might be useful, but if you don't it's a waste of cash in my opinion. By the way, I had read the posts about the poor service from them, and I figured it would only be fair to say that I had absolutly no problems with them cancelling my account, or with billing.
