Clear Adhesive Protective Film

Can anyone tell me what the clear adhesive protective film used by CubCrafters planes is and where to purchase a supply of it? Pics attached show the protective film applied at the tie-down hooks. I need some in bulk to install on my doors to prevent the closed window from chipping the paint (which it already has). I'll email Pete if nobody here knows.

I was a little late to protecting both of my windows from the latch but I use 3M Clear Bra Protective Tape such as this:

You can find different sizes, etc. I cut and put a small piece on both of my windows at the latch area. It sounds like you have a different issue, however, keep this area protected depending on your window latch design.

Thank you. I've got the same issue. Gonna either touch up or repaint, and then use the protective film to prevent scratching.

You might want to consider putting some of the protective tape on the front of the wing strut where you get into and out of the cockpit. If your the type that carries a flashlight, pocket knife or other tools, that strut can get easily scratched

The first time I saw a slight wear mark on the door caused by window rub I took a sanding block and relieved the bottom edge of the window.

I now have a strip of yellow 3M electrical tape running the whole length of the possible contact patch. My FX-3 is yellow so it doesn't look too out of place.

Great idea. I carry white duct tape as I have a white cub. I should redo my tape with the white option as I keep seeing that dang chip on both windows every time

Chalk up another "wish CubCrafters" did item - protect this area. It's going to happen!
