How do the drops get handed out? Are they by Age, SSN, or lottery??? Just curious if anyone knew.

Thanks

old man wins

The company will provide a list of open slots on your first day. If your class has 10 people, there will be 10 slots on the list. The oldest man (and I say man - becasue if there is a woman in the class she is undoubtedly 10 years younger than the oldest man in the class) gets to choose his slot first. And so it goes until the baby of the class get the last slot. Class seniority is also used when it comes time to choose sim time slots. Our contract prevents late night sim sessions - but I am not to fond of the 0600 slot either!

Hiring is still going stong - rumor is that it will keep going well into 2003.
Good Luck to all...

Classes are now filled through May of 03 and we are getting 11 new jets next year. 6 737-700 and 5 737-900.

Classes Filled until May?

Mach,

Is your info good? I just talked to HN for an upcoming two day event in SEA with AS... is the lead time that much?

Thanks.

That info is from one of the guys in the latest class and a guy in my crashpad that is going through Captain transition training.

I apologize, that is not straight from the man, but these two have been in the school house. For what that is worth.

I read the latest Chief Pilot's newsletter at the Training Center yesterday and it said that classes were filled through Feb '03. Also, the oldest person in our class is a woman.
