I have flown with two guys who use the clarity aloft headsets, and they both swore by them. The foam tips have to be replaced after a while, but the sound reduction is very good. I heard that the only real difference between the pro and regular models is that the pro is TSOd. I tried on the headsets myself - they are lightweight and comfortable, although the band that goes around the back of the head is not adjustable, but it is lightweight, so it does not really matter.
Thanks, I've tried them on a some shows and liked them so it's shaping up like I'll own some soon. So, what exactly are the ramifications of using a non-TSOd headset?
FWIW, I have been using the Non TSOd model for several months, I'm very happy with the performance, however if I had my way, they would replace the foam tips with the ear bud type like an MP3 player, easier to replace and clean.
For what it's worth, I also have a plantronics set with the ear tip that goes in one ear. The only reason that I can't use it is that the type that I'm in these days is just loud up front. Between the airflow from the vents and regular noise from zooming through the air I need something with the passive noise cancellation of the earplugs.
