Is there a reason you guys have to do static takeoffs or is that just the pilots thinking they need to. Second when you guys do them why do you roll about 300 feet down the runway before stopping (defeats the purpose of the static) just wondering have had to go missed twice in the last 3 days for this reason and have noticed you guys do this alot since I see alot more of those great weight restricted 37 seaters in CVG

We use static t/o's when our performance paperwork says we're field length limited...i.e. shorter runways. I don't recall ever having to do a static t/o at CVG in a 145 or 135.

Next time you are on final in CVG, make sure you say "Samballs 5322, on final"

That way every CHQ pilot that thinks they need to, can.
