Ok, I don't get this whole everyone all of a sudden hates CHQ thing?

I'm guessing its b/c they were granted some of Cont routes that ExpressJet is currently flying?

Now correct me if I’m wrong but CHQ probably put in a bid into Cont that ExpressJet couldn’t match or beat. So Cont awarded CHQ the contract.

Doesn’t this mean that Cont will be paying out less money in the long run, thereby decreasing their costs and (all other things being constant) increasing their profits?

I do understand that ExpressJet could possibly have to furlough pilots because of this. But if Cont does better in the long run, isn’t it better for everyone?

No flame, just trying to understand.
