[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]I'm a concerned pilot who flies for an airline where Jets-for-Jobs has been a hot topic amongst our pilots. I'm in search of authoritative information on the subject from those who have first-hand experience with the issue.
[/font][font=verdana, arial, helvetica]Could any Chautauqua pilots knowledgeable on the subject please take a few moments and answer the following questions?
1. How is Chautauqua and Republic structured for pilot-staffing purposes?
-- Can pilots bid back and forth?
-- Can the company hire directly into Republic?
2. How has the USAirways Jets-for-Jobs program been working?
-- Approximately how many USAirways furloughees has Chautauqua hired under this program?
-- Can the CHQ/USAirways Jets-for-Jobs program be deemed a success?
3. How does the UAL Jets-for-Jobs work?
-- Approximately how many UAL furloughees have been hired under this program?
-- Are the USAirways and United Jets-for-Jobs programs compatible? (If not, how are they being administered?)
4. What are the details of the new Delta program and how will it be implemented?
5. What elements to J4J, if any, would you like to see changed?
6. Would you recommend that other pilot groups pursue or accept Jets-for-Jobs agreements?
Any additional thoughts and comments would be welcome.
