A small group of us has been swimming in the pool since June. I have a few questions:

1) Any fellow CHQ poolies out there posting on this board?

2) Any info / rumor of an impending class?

3) I have a guess—but where do we fit in with J4J hires and potentially displaced SA pilots?

Thanks in advance for the GOOD NEWS:)

The rest of the furloughs have to be called back first.

I have a feeling once the TA is voted YES, they will have some serious hiring to do. Lets hope this is sometime soon.

Poolies

Yeah there are a few of us "poolies" out here. I for one am walking the razors edge contemplating suicide due to the lack of info and the vast size of the unknown. Having to continue strapping on a Cessna does not help either.

Heavy,

Hopefully it was just a (sick) joke but remember the lonely blade ain't the answer!

Be happy you're still strapping on something with wings! That's probably the biggest benefit to being a poolie rather than a furloughee because you didn't have to drop everything to train and wait; or, for those with time on the line, get a taste of the life only to lose it.

Anyway, we all have to keep passing on the information and hang in there. This is the first I've heard that there are only 20 of us left so that's good news. As soon as I hear anything, I'll pass it along for the poolies.

Good luck and give my best to the sky next time you strap on the cessna!

The Pilots on furlough still have not received any recall notice. It is hoped that after the contract is ratified the recall will be soon.

Interviewed June 19th, got the good news in July and been waiting ever since!
Is it true that the TA vote is Sept 30?

The TA hasn't even arrived at anybody's door yet that I know of; I think the bylaws say we've got to have 21 days from the mailing to get our votes back, and the earliest the vote went out was Monday. It will probably be the first or second week in October.

I know what you guys are going through; Have patience and faith, for it will end, and likely soon. I waited five months from the letter to a class date, and my roomate waited almost a year and a half (his original class was right after 9/11, and was obviously cancelled).

Poolies

Attn Buss Driver:

No need to call the hounds. The previous post was just a little gallows humor. I realize it is better to be waiting for the initial than it is to be waiting for a recall. This helps the sanity. The funny thing is that this class date is racing with a stork. At least the stork has an arrival date.

Congrats!!

Here's hopin' for the stork to have 100%/100% on-time/completion factors.

heres some research facts...dunno who knows it or not but thought id post it here to help those gain a little more hope.

between the furloughs of 62 origional, not all 62 hit the streets. I believe someone mentioned 47. Of those left many got letters of recall for Oct. 1st. a friend of mine on the seniority list recieved one and he was one of the last ones to get it. counting down from him to the last person on the list....sorry flyin jack...turns up only 20 names that havent gotten a letter or recall yet. Possibly 19 wich leaves the last class (june 30) and just a couple of people from the previous one.

None of these last two classes went to IOE.

in the meantime after these Oct. 1st letters were sent out, the company still calls relentlessly to ask everyone to fly overtime hours....

the worst part is i passed up a job starting in MEM at 34.5k a year to wait for that Nov. recall letter.....if it arrives assuming this whole circus dosent implode on itself, to do night freight again <caravan>

why did i pass it up? they wanted a year contract signed and resignation of my Sen#. but if this circus does crash....ill go do it and wait another year.

trust me if your class is full of the same quality of top guys and gals i was with (great people and brilliant too), you will be suprised that your liver still works and youre not in jail when its all said and done.

lookout !

flyin jack has some good news about the furloughs...looks like well all be back mid OCT. for some freshin up. wanna bring everyone else up on this jack? :)

Everyone from the June 5th class has been recalled and will start Oct 1. Best of luck to everyone.

info

Jack has good rumor for now - hopefully it will be good news for everyone (including poolies) eventually.

Besides - if this ruins my honeymoon - I'd be salty.

Oh well, back to my meeting with "The Bob's".

Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh . . . .

yeah exactly...it is good rumor news....but rumor from reliable source inside the walls. soon i hope it will be factual news...

Contract (& ballot) in hand

How you doin'

Got the contract and ballot in the mail today so I guess we furloughees are going to have a say. Interesting sheet of changes though; check the one in the scope clause.

The info on the ibt 747 site has been proven correct (vote due back by 10/9). Just hope they can be counted as quickly as announced considering how much longer (than announced) it took to get out the mailing.

So, here's hoping that Jack's news is proven true and there's enough ice in the tub for Ds&Es mid-October!

See ya!
