I just want to say congratulations on the new TA. I read a bunch of it and I think you guys did a great job. The scope worked out well, you have better vacation than we do (cmr), and you got better reduced rest. The pay rates are better than a lot of other places too. Overall, I think you did a great job of holding the line through less than optimal bargaining times! Thanks too should go to the negotiating team, those people gave up family life, oh heck, life in general to secure a better future for all pilots! :D

Reading through the CHQ TA I am pretty sure they using a PDO (paid day off) account for all missed work that is paid. This includes sick time and vacation. To make a comparison between CHQ and CMR you have to include both. To make it interesting I'll throw in MESA and Air Whiskey too.

- 12 year CMR = 126 hours of paid leave/year
- 12 year CHQ (under new TA) = 92.04 hours of paid leave/year
- 12 year MESA = 95.5 hours of paid leave/year
- 12 year Air Whiskey = 131.6 hours of paid leave/year

- 6 year CMR = 102 hours
- 6 year CHQ = 68.04 hours
- 6 year MESA = 95.5 hours
- 6 year Air Whiskey = 109.2 hours

- 3 year CMR = 75 hours
- 3 year CHQ = 56.04 hours
- 3 year MESA = 68 hours
- 3 year Air Whiskey = 86.8 hours

Vacation and sick time are big contract items that are often over looked. The 12 year Air Whiskey guy is going to make $3000/year more than the CHQ guy. That's roughly a 4% potential increase in annual salary in this benefit alone.
