Holy Crap!...what were those guys thinking?!?!

The nose wheel doesn't leave the ground until about ~50' before the end of the runway.

I love the Chinese (?) subtitles that pop up right after they hit...it's like an expletive or something. *&%*#&@$&%#%@!!! Probably just me that finds that funny, lol. :)

I was just gonna say the same thing, it's looks like the flaps/slats aren't even out

I think it was just a text book example of how to make a 0 flap take-off. Now we know it can be done. :0

if you pause the video on the first frame, it looks like the slats are extended as there is a "break" in the line of the leading edge of the wing outboard of the #1 engine. If that is a deployed slat, then they had at least flaps 1 set. Regardless, I'm sure a change in underpants was in order after that take-off.

What does flap setting have to do with this F=d up takeoff??? If they didn't have the right flap setting, you would probably have seen the nose come up at Vr, with no climb.... They probably used reduced power when full power was required....

Guess round eyes never FK up.

Hey, I'll be the first to admit I've made a few...and didn't a couple of our DAL brother attempt a clean-wing T/O on a MD-88 a bunch of years back?

It can and does happen...and we are lucky we can learn from seeing stuff like that.

In theory, it helps keep us sharp.

Confusis says...Pilot who neglects to use "Radome Power" become "Weed Whacker"

Another Confusis favorite...Pilot who fly upside down...have crack up.

Back in the late 80's a couple of "round-eyed" NWA DC-9 pilots attempted a clean takeoff as well with disastrous results.

Sheeeet happens folks whether you're slant-eyed, round-eyed, wide-eyed or pie-eyed.

seems like they left the gear down awfully long. i guess they were surprised that they got if off the ground.
