I second the Tortuga's Coastal Cantina recommendation. Excellent food. Pappasitos and Luther's are good also. So...who's in town for the superbowl weekend? Y'all are more than welcome to stop by the Hobby Millionaire and say hello.

Maybe a couple of us Flightinfo nerds could get together for some BBQ?

LJDRVR...no feeding the animals...

remember--BBQ rules in the fanciful world of Denver!

How about that BBQ slaw at Blacks BBQ, Gastonia NC?:)

I had the smoker fired up last weekend. Did a couple of racks with Haywards BBQ sauce. They were chem-licious!!!

Hayward is a straight pimp.

Darn it, LJDRVR, stop trying to hijack this BBQ thread!

Wankel7, brisket is a cut taken from under the cow's neck. It's already tender, but when it's slow cooked with an occasional application of seasonings or sauce, it's outstanding. I've seen it offered in states besides Texas, but it's primarily a Texas thing.

Ar Orb? I think I've seen that on Rollie Pollie Ollie, may kids love that show. Speaking of BBQ. I used to be a CFI at LBB Aero. The County Line was always a favorite of Corp crews. If you are in Houston, and go to Ellington, try Pettie's Cajun. It is right outside the front gate. Good food, great airplane and NASA stuff on the walls. Good BBQ at The Cockpit by HOU.

And if you look are good you can see all the chem trails you want!

Sorry, I can't vouch for BBQ at the Cockpit, I never did get past the Black and Tan line.:D

I'm surprised we can see the sun in Houston today with all the spray activity going on. By be sure to notice those massive chemtrails in the photos as well.

Mmmm,

Do you guys prefer Budweiser or Heineken with your BBQ?? (heieneken doh! if it ain't dutch it ain't much right? :p )

The above response is not in anyway the direct or precise view of the poster. By reading this you agree to these terms and are required to refrain from flamming:p

g'day

Ahhhh Houston,

FIrst time I ever had real BBQ was in Houston .... no Idea what the place was called that was almost 20 years ago.

When you have Guiness and Bass available, you don't need BBQ!

However, in their absence, Shiner Bock is the prefered beverage for Texas BBQ. I'm not sure what goes best with that sickly sweet meat stuff they call BBQ in Carolina. "Pulled Pig", what the heck is that? Huh? I'd guess that they have to drink something like sweet tea. Man between BBQ sauce and tea, they must go through tons of sugar per person down there. Sure wish I had the sugar concession in the south. Wait, I'll bet they drink somethin like Busch.

Notice to all Yankees and other vermin. I can trash talk my fellow Confederates, don't ya'll even think about it. I'll bust your can quicker than the Moniter sank.

What do you mean wrong thread, isn't this the PeaceActivist thread? Oh well please disregard the tail kickin part. It must be the chemgoo, I spilled some of it last trip.

One more thing for you Gulf Coast residents. Galena Park, possible proof that Denver is on to something.:D

regards,

Anybody listen to Mancow this morning?

Some guy called in and was practically frothing at the mouth about the "real story" behind September 11th. It seems that the CIA instructed NORAD to stand down for the duration of the "attack." The 767's and 757's were being flown by Special Ops guys via remote control, and after the attack the CIA seized all the pertinent ATC radar and voice tapes. Condaleeza Rice personally contacted numerous politicians and suggested that they not fly to New York that morning.

Oh, and there's a national conspiracy of school principals to put video cameras in girls' showers.

So I'm listening to this, and I'm thinking..."Denver, is that you?"

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at that!

It's laughable that people think like that, yet sad that they believe that the guvmint would actually be responsible for the 9/11 attacks. What is truly sad is the loss of 3000 lives that terrible day.

Oh, I almost forgot the punch line:

Why, you ask, would the CIA and the White House conspire to carry out the September 11th attacks? Why, to give George W. Bush absolute control over "all the stupid people" that call themselves Americans. "It's just like 1984, and nobody sees it," the caller railed.

While I agree that W and his cabinet have thoroughly mismanaged our security, you'd have to be smoking crack to believe that they orchestrated the attack.

Either that or you stood too close to your Chembuster...

My one and only BBQ experience was at "Sutphen's BBQ" in Borger, Tx. Anyone been there?

Hey all. Having a Super Bowl party and I'm in the flight path. If the game gets boring we can all sit around and watch the chem trails.

Stop by any time. Will have Beer and Brats.

There is a place in Tyler that was real good BBQ, cant remember the name, but I think I saw it on the food network.

Whats the BBQ place by Dallas Love? Big gravel parking lot.
