Good job for the kid....The instructor, well OK kudos to him too. The Media did alright too all except for the end of news clip. Among aviators there is a tradition of throwing buckets of water on the student after a first solo? Maybe in Canada, but in the states isn't it the clipping of the shirt?

Ever feel like you got a late start in aviation? Heck, I hadn't even considered flying until halfway through college, and here's a kid flying helicopters at age 14. There's a kid who knows what he wants in life, and is going after it.

But I thought that records about young people flying were frowned upon after the crash with the young girl, her father, and instructor trying to fly cross country. It seems to me going from California to Canada so he could solo in two aircraft is pushing the boundaries a little bit.

Would you rather see that kid in the streets or what? I think thats awesome that program was put together. Kids nowadays have to get off to earlier starts because i believe there is an increase in violence and crime and being influenced at earlier ages with negative stuff.
