Does anyone have any experience with these cheap (and portable) traffic avoidance systems (like SureCheck). I have grow quite fond of the TCASII in the plane I fly for work, and would like to have something similar (albeit cheaper) for my personal plane. Any comments appreciated.
I own the SureCheck TPAS, and I like it. When I first got it, I spent about a day checking it out, seeing how accurate it was, sensitivity, range, etc, and it's worked fine for me. Pretty accurate so far. They have a new model out now, thats a little more expensive, but is supposed to do more.
I have a Monroy ATD-300, it works much better than the TPAS unit it replaced. Aviation Consumer found the same thing. Give either one a try, they work great as long as you use an outside antenna. I had the ATD 200 for a month before I bought the 300 and will sell it for 425 if you want it. Just PM me.
