How's this for an airline industry saving scenario? We save the Iraqi oil fields from destruction and pay for the oil at a bargain price which in turn drops the global price to record lows. Influx of dollars to terroist organizations slows as the price of oil drops. Airlines can turn a profit and rebound. Am I dreaming? Ziggy1

The Administration would not do that. It would be politically very dangerous. OPEC is the body which sets the price of oil, not Bush. Moreover, that oil is necessary to pay for our operations, as well as for the future of Iraq. It belongs to the good people of that country, not the airlines...
