Does anyone know are they really done with the 145 classes? That would really suck. I have been waiting and waiting.

As long as we are getting 170's CHQ WILL have classes for the 145. The reason is that right now all of the new 170 CPT's are coming from the left seat of the 145. As 145 FO's upgrade there will be vacancies in the right seat of the 145. So don't worry there will definetly be classes for the 145 in the future. Which one you get all depends on the vacancies in each aircraft at that time.

See ya

word came in and....u suck why did you come here and waste our time...next time stay at home and save us all the work...well maybe another regional will take a one armed one legged pilot

Right now the CHQ hiring/staffing process is as screwed up as a football bat.

There was a disconnect with the 170's, the AA scope penalty and the SA acquisition. There is a state of complete (or nearly complete) turmoil with regard to equipment and assignments. The pilots are for the most part declining to bid the "SA 170" which is resulting in shenanigans by crew scheduling and crew planning in an effort to get a "hard light" on the SA 170 deal.

fasten seat belts.

With SA hiring, how does that have an affect on the CHQ guys? I've considered sending in my stuff there but am worried about the ramifications - would I be looked down upon? Are the SA guys hated? Honestly, I like the idea of a smaller pilot group (<100 pilots vs. 1100 for CHQ).

SA is not actually hiring. All hiring for the SA 170's is being conducted through CHQ IND.

Ah ok.

This was posted on a job site. It's a bit old (from March 21st) but I thought it was worth a try. So would your resume go directly to CHQ? Or have they just changed the hiring process?

thanks

A lot of the "job sites" just pirate job postings. SA doesn't have the people to interview and hire the numbers that the 170's require.

things are screwed up so far as Axel has said. Aparently the 170 sim is now reportedly a "level D" wich allows the 145FO's to bid 170 CA slots. Either way the company is encouraging the FO's to bid that. the company seems to be selectively enforcing the seatlock for recent 145 CA upgrades and now that some awarded upgrades have been either cancelled or revoked has many pi$$ed pilots wondering just whats going on. the integration isnt even complete yet and theyre awarding 170 SA spots to CHQ seniority list people, and theyre not sure they want to take that or not at the moment given the confusion.

hopefully theyll get it straightened out but look for some confusion for a little while on the matter.

I was in the April 12th interview. I got the call before I hit the Airport in Indy. I will be in the E145 May 18th class. I think they're running 2 E145 classes and 1 E170 class in May. E170 class was at the end of may, so I took the E145. Seniority is everything when they're hiring 80 pilots a month. (or 84 to be exact)

Good Luck and I hope you guys get the Job. PM me for any other questions
