If your hired today I would bet on 4 years to upgade. We have two mergers in play, one will definately bring 100 pilots ahead of you in seniority. SA's Saabs are going away so they will be upgrading to 145/170. MA's planes will come aready staffed so no net gain there and we will be losing 5-15 145's over the next two years as part of the deal. Did I say 4 years? better make that 5-6 if the current level holds.
 
1st who said the SF340s are going away i believe the contract is til 07... and the MA thing isnt final but we didnt aquire the people... just the planes... People are deciding things on their own, nutty.
