just a few questions for you chautauqua pilots. what's your per diem? and just wondering how your profit sharing works?

Contract does not address profit-sharing. This past year it was in the form of fairly decent "X-mas bonuses" but no guarantee to receive it year-after-year.

Speaking of contracts, I've asked this question before with no answer. Besides this CHQ contract, does anyone know where some of the other contracts can be found on the internet? airlinepilotcontracts.com no longer works. Thanks!

So what is the current hiring like? Are they doing the off the street captain thing? IF so what are they looking for and if not what is the average time on reserve?

reserve around 3 months depending on base <average>

plenty of F/O to fill Captain slots sorry

Skid, i see that your looking to get hired into the left seat. you might want to look into pinnacle. I hear they were hiring street capt., dont know if its still going on though.

Yeah I know they still are. A couple friends just went there into the left seat. My only prob is they want 3500 TT or 3000TT with 500 in CRJ. By the time I get that time I will be stuck as an FO. I am currently sitting 5+ years away from captain at Horizon after being here over 2 years on reserve. My prob is that I cant take a big pay cut and most companies you do as an fo vs Horizon.

Just did an interview with chq not impressed with them at all.

You know you are not very credible when you make accusations without any explanation. I happen to be very impressed with them and I have been here for 2 years.

CHQ comments

I've been very pleased with life at CHQ.

I upgraded at 1 year 8 months, taking the first available captain's seat. FLL was the junior base, but they offered me SDF effective 3/2 so I'll actually only have to commute three times to FLL. IND is home and shouldn't be far off with the 170 growth attracting 145 captains.

When I started it was the old $125 a week deal, but now I believe you are an employee from day one, which means you earn per diem and the 75 hr min. pay. Any new folks here at CHQ confirm/deny? You have a roommate for initial training but not after.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or if I can be of assistance.

Still $125 per week for the first month, then the min pay after 30 days.

Read: "they didn't hire me".

But okay, I'll ask, what did they do or not do that left you "not impressed with them"?
