Chautauqua has relaxed the jumpseat policy. Every open cabin seat is now officially available to JS riders.

There is an exception; that being the American side which is still restricted to one JS rider per flight. That is in negotiation and is expected to follow suit shortly.

Due to the same employment verification issues that have plagued all of us since 9/11, the cockpit JS is not open to off-line pilots. Pilots for the respective code share can occupy the seat, (e.g. DL, CMR, ACA, ASA pilots can sit up front on a DL flight, but not a U or AA flight.) Nor can a pilot for a carrier with which CHQ is not affilliated sit forward of the door.

BUT

Every seat in the back that is not occupied is now open.

Furthermore, the CHQ jumpseat committee will not condone the use of the jumpseat as a political or personal weapon. If you encounter any difficulty with a CHQ jumpseat, drop a note to [email protected] with your concerns and the situation will be dealt with.

Welcome aboard.
