Live and Work in beautiful Southern France
The Owners of Chateau de Montmeilleur who are currently finishing the renovation of the medieval castle and building a runway on the 110 acres property seek a live-in couple who, between both of them, have the following qualifications: PPL IFR CPL ideally CFI or CFII with app. 500 hours PIC experience, turboprop a plus A & P and I A helpful, Piper Mirage experience a plus Computer and French language skills a plus Business background a plus
Tasks
Assist in developing a "Bed & Breakfast" type Chateau around aviation themes. Manage 3 luxury guest apartments for a maximum of 12 guests, with personal enthusiasm and commitment. Specifically attract pilots (or those simply interested in Flying) and their family for vacations. Cater to guests who would like to get a BFR or instrument competency checks, enjoy the flying in spectacular mountain areas and possibly want to get a special French license to land at "altiports" (several dozen high altitude airfields in the vicinity which may only be used with a special endorsement, example Courchevel). Maintain our airplanes, a 1946 Piper Cub and various ultralights, possibly assist with maintenance of our Piper Mirage JetProp DLX (P&W PT6 Conversion). Fly the JetProp as PIC for corporate transport around most European countries. Maintain the 1800 ft runway. Perform security, light building maintenance, gardening, and front desk duties on the property in cooperation with other staff. Assist the owners with organizational and secretarial tasks.
Location
In the mountains of southern France, 45 Minutes south of Grenoble, ideally located for summer and winter sports, the great outdoors, European culture and fabulous dining.
Benefits
