Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone knew of any charter operations around the Boston area, particularly around Bedford (KBED). I'm a pretty low-time pilot just looking for an opportunity to build some time in any complex aircrafts while I flight instruct. I've found a few online but not all that much info. If anyone knows about anything I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

If you are just looking to build time try New England Airlines in Westerly CT. They have a bunch of cherokee 6's, archers, and Islanders that they use for charter to and from Block and other islands.

Yea come to think of it I have a buddy who used to work there. I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah I think its called Boston Air out of OWD they love to hire low-timers that dont realize it's resume suicide to fly for a couple years in the right seat of single pilot airplanes. They've got Cheyennes, King Air and citationII. On call 24/7 tho so instructng and the same time would be impossible cuz if your not availabe they will fire you. Good Luck Dude!

cape air also...they fly cessna 402's...theyre a great 135 company to work for.. but thats about it...those are the two biggest 135 company out there that i know of.

Don't you need an ATP to fly for them??? Did they use to be a 121 company?

i think that they do require the atp...not really a regulations guru anymore.. as i recall, i dont think that you do need one according to the regs. but i used to work for cape air as a ramp agent when i was in college...all i can say is that it is a great company to start out with..i had alot of fun when i worked there....their pay isnt all that bad either..
