Can anyone tell me what size chart case fits in the 900? Also, which cases are the sturdiest, at a decent price? Thanks for any info

I'm guessing any chart case that would fit a 700 or even the lowly 200...which would be just about any standard size case without wheels.

I have the PNT Split Top leather bag and it works great, although its a little tall and the flaps rub on the circuit breaker panels. I've been happy with it...

Ask somebody at SkyWest. I've heard they can purchase the CRJ-900 chart case, for CRJ-200 chart case prices. ;)

(sorry for the cheap attempt at humor, but I'm hurting for material tonight)

Just be sure it matches you backpack and Ipod. Also make sure you plaster it with a bunch of B757/767/747 stickers.

Thats quality comedy. Better yet while your in the ATL, ask the new brown topper assistant queef pilot where you can get a new flight case. Maybe they have a management special going.

I got a solo wheeled bag which fits in the 200. Kinda nice on daylines or naps.

But if you're flying that 900 for Skywest in and out of Atlanta, how bout you just stick your pubs up your non-union ...............just kidding!!!!

Why kid?

Not sure how SkyWest entered into this (aside from being easier to make fun of). If they're asking specificaly about the 900 I would assume that means Maesaba.

The ballistic Nylon works better, has more pockets and holds up almost as well (7 years+). I bought the Scott case and liked the Nylon better.

I'd recommend the Sporty's flight bag. It has a nice shoulder strap and lots of pockets to neatly organize all of your gear. . .especially a red flashlight for those nightflights!

All kidding aside, I'd second the vote for the Scott's bag. I got the standard flight case and if I could do it over again, I'd go with the bag with straps on the side, but not the one that has a dome on top. I like the strap version because it seems like it will hold up longer while it's attached to your Purdy Neat bag.

My only gripe with the Scott bag is that it's not tall enough. It's great if you use a Telex headset, but if you go with an Sennheiser ANR or something along those lines, you feel like you're gonna break your headset when you close your bag. Of course, if EFB's were up front, you'd have plenty of room (and probably wouldn't be lugging the bag around either).

Also, make sure you wear a Telex headset or a ANR Sennheiser or Telex Pro ANR. Don't wear DCs etc... I never was too keen on those DC wearing guys flying the RJ...seemed too much of an overkill and I couldn't hear them on the IC when I was wearing the 750s (maybe I should have worn the DC's?? thats neither here nor there).

Good Luck!

You know what works the best is the EFB. But I wouldn't know because we've been waiting for them for about a year!

I immagine that the chart case you used when instructing in the 172 fits the bill nicely :D

After my trusty old flightbag gave out from bagdrag, cummuting etc, and the duct tape added 5lbs to the original weight of the bag, I got a bag from

Comes with a lifetime guarantee. Put together with screws and locking nuts rather than cheap pins, solid stainless steel bottom, died though leather etc. You won't be dissapointed! It's put together better then the Scott.

one model is made for CRJ. tough, quality, great customer service, and cheaper than most. This bag will last a career. Check it out. Many Delta and FedX pilots have purchased these with great satisfaction.
