How much does it cost them if you guys do everything exactly by the book and cut taxi speeds in half. Probably more than the $50/pilot a year that Crewpass costs.

Actually it would probably save them money if they cut their taxi speeds in half, less wear and tear and fewer incidents!
Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Before everyone gets too excited, here are the new procedures for crews. We won't be completely exempted from the screening process but we wouldn't be subjected to being molested.

All uniformed pilots and Flight Attendants have the option to choose the type of screening they prefer in locations that currently have both Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) and Magnetometers.

Uniformed crewmembers are exempt from the Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) screening requirements; however, you may request this type of screening if you prefer.

AIT- If you choose the AIT device for screening and there is an alarm, you will receive a resolution pat-down which will focus on the area of your body where the AIT has detected an alarm. You will not be required to remove your shoes if you use choose to be screened using an AIT device.

Magnetometer- If you choose the Magnetometer for screening and there is an alarm, you will have the opportunity to divest three times in attempt to clear the alarm. If the alarm cannot be cleared, you will receive a standard pat-down.

The standard pat-down consists of those procedures used before the recent introduction of the enhanced procedures.

Note: Uniformed crewmembers are now exempt from the Enhanced Pat-Down procedures.
