Does anybody know anything about Champion Airlines, and are they the lowest paying in the industry. What aircraft do they fly ?

Just ran into an old co-worker from my CFI days whose been with them for 5 years. He's still in the right seat, says things are pretty stable over there, no better no worst. Said there's very little movement cause the senior guys just don't leave for anywhere else, there comfortable I suppose just like any other place once you've accumulated some seniority. He thinks he will probably upgrade sometime this fall. He seems to like it, didn't really have anything bad to say about it other than the pay.

I hear Champion is considering the A320 as a replacement for the 727 in a few years (2-3 years). Can anyone give an example of a roster or typical schedule - is it 4/3 or day trips depending upon base?

Do all newhires start in the FE position? What are the typical base options for newhires?

Do a search...I have covered Champion numerous times.

As far as the sked goes. We do turns, mostly. Thats is unless you are in a city that has NBA flying and then you could be gone for a while. i have a pretty good sked this month with 17 days off, but then again I am very senior in my base.

The exodus has begun from Champion.

I have a friend I used to fly with who went to Campion about a year before 9/11 as a FE. He survived the furloughs, and as far as I know he is still there. Any Champion guys know a Sean Glover? Does he still fly there. Thanks in advance.

Champion who?

It seems that theyre at a cross roads now that their Northwest management have been given orders to stand down.
