Hey all, I was wondering if anybody renewed their CFI online; the cheapest I found was American Flyers but are there any other's that are cheaper? Also, how long does it take to finish as compared to taking a weekend crash course?? Thanks a lot

I just did the American Flyers course. It's pretty easy and straightforward and that's coming from me who is no longer in GA and not instructing. If you are an active instructor it will be even easier. It's divided into 6 sections with a test at the end of each section. It took me a week altogether where I tried to do a section per day. In reality, they require you to spend more time reviewing each section than is really required to take the tests and pass. The real selling point is the lifetime subscription.
